Episode 188: Solid Rock Trust with Director Rick Ives

Forrest, Conan Neutron, J. Andrew World & Kristina Oakes welcome director Rick Ives to the show. Director, screenwriter and producer of this very interesting indie crime film that takes place in one room. Rick has a lot of work experience on big Marvel productions, and blockbusters, but this is anything but that. A *ahem* ROCK SOLID crime thriller largely based on voice performance.

We talk about the history of heist movies, their tropes and how it can done differently. How you can build dramatic tension without changing locations. Koko Marshall’s excellent accent work and lots, lots more.

This is a really cool film that most people on letterboxd have not seen (at the time of this writing). Check it out!
